How long are the psychological therapy sessions?

Each session is usually 50 minutes in length.

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth Therapy is conducted using video conferencing technology. Research has found online based therapies or Telehealth therapy can be as effective as face to face therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns.  Telehealth therapy is also more convenient and gives the person seeking therapy control over when and where they access their clinician. It’s like having a clinician come to your own home or office.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

You don’t need a referral from your GP. You can book straight in to see us, however, if you are seeking a Medicare rebate you will need to speak to your GP about getting a Mental Health Care Plan.

What is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker?

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers are specialist mental health clinicians who are registered providers with Medicare Australia. They have been assessed on behalf of the Commonwealth Government by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) as having specialist training and expertise in mental health. Like other allied health professionals such as Psychologists, they use a range of counselling interventions to assist people who are experiencing mental health issues

What happens after I submit my referral form?

When you click "book now" you will be taken to an online booking system to complete forms and book an appointment. 

Once confirmed, you will be emailed a Zoom link to attend your appointment.
